Sons And Daughters follow up their Silver Spell / Optimo remix package with a second 12' released on February 20th.

This time round they focus on Orion, taken from their latest album Mirror Mirror, which was afforded universal critical acclaim on release last year and described by Q as 'a creative rebirth'.

The 12' features 3 mixes kicking off with the Emperor Machine Remix, the solo project of Andy Meecham from Chicken Lips. Next up psychedelic occultist Umberto giving it some strange brew with his mix, and wrapping up the package are Glaswegian Djs Wrong Island with their own particular take on the track.

Sons And Daughters ended on 2011 on a high, playing alongside Primal Scream at Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations.

The BUAV is delighted to have the support of legendary singer Morrissey for its No Cruel Cosmetics campaign to end animal testing for new cosmetics sold in the European Union.

Morrissey said, 'Say no to injecting, force-feeding or forcing animals to inhale substances for a new lipstick or shampoo. Please join me in signing the BUAV No Cruel Cosmetics petition to stop the sale of new animal tested cosmetics in the EU.'

Morrissey joins a number of high profile celebrities to sign the No Cruel Cosmetics petition, including Sir Paul McCartney, Sienna Miller, Jodie Kidd, Jenny Seagrove and Kimberly Wyatt.

Despite UK and EU bans on animal testing for cosmetics, products can still be tested on animals in other parts of the world and then imported and sold in the EU. A marketing ban which would end this cruelty is due to come into effect in 2013. However, it is now in danger of being delayed, thereby putting thousands more animals at risk, who will continue to suffer and die needlessly in cruel tests for new beauty products sold in the EU.

A delay could mean that hundreds of thousands more rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats will be injected, gassed or force-fed cosmetics worldwide for new beauty products sold in the EU, including the UK.

Over one hundred and forty thousand people across the UK and EU, including Morrissey, have already signed the No Cruel Cosmetics petition which is being sent to the European Parliament. The BUAV petition can be signed at www.NoCruelCosmetics.org.

Adele still smoking?

Adele-still-smoking? Email this story Printable version

Adele has reportedly been seen smoking despite recently undergoing throat surgery.

The British singing sensation is apparently struggling to kick her habit, according to Life & Style.

The 23-year-old had microsurgery to remove a benign polyp from her vocal cords two months ago which forced her to cancel several tour dates.

But an eyewitness has told the publication that during a night out with new boyfriend Simon Konecki recently, she was seen smoking.

'Adele and Simon had dinner at Bobby Rubino's in Pompano Beach, Florida on January 1,' the bystander said.

'Right after they were done, she walked out of the place and had a cigarette outside.'

And ten days after arriving back to London, the Someone Like You songstress was also seen smoking in a car.

Just before her surgery Adele said she had 'absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly' or 'risk damaging my voice forever'.

Adele spoke last year of an earlier attempt to give up smoking which she called 'f**king grim'.

'My voice was better when I wasn't smoking,' she told Glamour magazine. 'Within a week I noticed it had changed, but I'd rather my voice be a bit sh*t so I can have a f**king laugh.'
